Moon Sled

info@ficus.media — Thu, 20 Feb 2025 12:48:30 +0000

The Moon Sled is a sculptural wall sconce that merges material exploration with refined form. The curved fused glass panel serves as both structure and diffuser, featuring a dynamic surface with embedded metallic elements. A bubbled glass lens at the center softens the light, creating a subtle glow and highlighting the material’s depth. Brass standoffs secure the lens, introducing a precise, tactile contrast.

Each piece is handmade, resulting in slight variations that make every sconce unique. The organic details in the glass and the interplay of light ensure no two are exactly alike. With its architectural presence and expressive craftsmanship, the Moon Sled functions as both lighting and art, ideal for contemporary interiors, hospitality settings, and curated residential spaces.

The Bedford, handcrafted in our Brooklyn studio, marries traditional opal glass with brass elements in a suspended architectural form. Its considered proportions and minimal mounting system create visual lightness while the glass volume, shaped through exacting methods, provides diffused illumination that defines space without dominating it.
This fixture brings focused presence to dining areas, entries, and gathering spaces where suspended lighting creates architectural impact. Its clean geometry complements both modern and transitional interiors, while the material palette adds warmth through classical elements.

Each Bedford pendant is crafted to order in Brooklyn, ensuring precise execution of this refined form.
